DETAILS
W1200 (RG60) GTAW (TIG) is a high strength, bright finish, steel welding solid wire bare alloy that is used where minimum tensile strength of the steel does not exceed 60 psi. Conveniently packaged for point-of-purchase display.
Features
- Solid wire used for oxy-fuel and GTAW (TIG) welding
- High strength steel rod used for oxy-fuel welding
- Typical applications include castings, steel plates, structural pipe and shapes
- Responds well to heat treatment, flame hardening and cyaniding
- 65,000 psi min. tensile strength (as welded)
- No flux required, but puddling of the molten metal will bring any scale or impurities to the surface
- Weld on clean base metal to ensure the best results
- Conforms to AWS A5.2, R60
