DETAILS

Stay-Silv® 2HP phos-copper brazing filler metal alloy. It features a higher phosphorus content than Stay-Silv® 2 yielding a narrower melting range. This economical alloy flows quickly eliminating the potential for leaks. Designed for use on applications where close, uniform clearance can be maintained. Conforms to the EU Reach & RoHS directive.

  • Its tighter melting range makes it more fluid
  • Medium-range alloy for brazing copper and copper-to-brass
  • Brazing range of 1300 degrees F - 1455 degrees F (704 degrees C - 788 degrees C)
  • Fluidity rating 5
  • Recommended joint clearance of 0.002 in. - 0.005 in. (0.51mm - 0.13mm)
  • Corrosion resistance is generally similar to the copper base metal, but due to its phosphorus content should not be used if the braze is exposed to sulfur or sulfur compounds in service
  • Flux not required for copper brazing as it is self-fluxing. For brazing brass or copper-to-brass Stay-Silv® white flux is suitable for most applications. Harris Eco Smart® boric acid free flux, powder or paste, is an excellent choice to promote sound brazed assemblies
  • Conforms to the EU Reach & RoHS directive
