DETAILS
ER309L Stainless steel GTAW (TIG) welding rod is used to weld base metals of similar composition in wrought or cast form. It is also used to weld type 304 and similar base metals where severe conditions may exist. Occasionally, used to weld dissimilar steels. The lower carbon content of .03% max. helps to avoid the possibility of intergranular carbide precipitation.
