DETAILS

Safety-Silv® 45 flux-coated high silver brazing alloy performs like a 45% silver cadmium-bearing alloy, but is cadmium-free. The flux coating on the wire eliminates the need for manual flux application. It has a lower melting temperature than Safety-Silv® 45. Its excellent fillet-forming quality produces high-strength ductile joints. Certified to NSF Standard 51.

  • General purpose cadmium-free silver brazing alloy
  • Excellent joint strength and ductility at moderately higher temperature with a melting range of approximately 145 degrees F (63 degrees C)
  • Good ductility and capillary flow
  • Fillet forming qualities are suitable for filling loose connections
  • Recommended joint clearance of 0.003 in. - 0.006 in. (0.08 mm - 0.15 mm)
  • Popular choice to braze copper, brass, steel and stainless steel
