DETAILS
SAFETY-SILV® 45 flux-coated high silver brazing alloy performs like a 45% silver cadmium-bearing alloy, but is cadmium-free. The flux coating on the wire eliminates the need for manual flux application. It has a lower melting temperature than SAFETY-SILV® 45. Its excellent fillet-forming quality produces high-strength ductile joints. Certified to NSF Standard 51.
Features
- General purpose cadmium-free silver brazing alloy
- Excellent joint strength and ductility at moderately higher temperature with a melting range of approximately 145°F (63°C)
- Good ductility and capillary flow
- Fillet forming qualities are suitable for filling loose connections
- Recommended joint clearance of 0.003" - 0.006" (0.08mm - 0.15mm)
- Popular choice to braze copper, brass, steel and stainless steel
- Flux-coating eliminates the need for manual flux application
