Harris® 0HP Phos-Copper Brazing Alloy

0H536R

Harris® 0HP phos-copper brazing alloy 3/32 x 36 in. x 25 lb. Box

DETAILS

Harris® 0HP phos-copper brazing alloy is a low cost alloy use for many copper-to-copper applications where moderate fit-up can be maintained and brazing temperature is not critical. Conforms to the EU Reach & RoHS directive.

Features

  • Economical choice for copper brazing
  • Copper is self-fluxing, so no manual flux application is required
  • Alloy flows quickly at brazing temperature so requires close joint tolerance, less than 0.005 in. (0.127 mm)
  • Primarily used in manual brazing applications
  • Suitable for brazing brass
  • When brazing brass, operators should avoid over heating and use Stay Silv® white brazing flux
  • Not recommended for brazing steel or other ferrous base metals
  • Corrosion resistance is generally similar to the copper base metal, but due to its phosphorus content should not be used if the braze is exposed to sulfur or sulfur compounds in service
  • Recommended joint clearance of 0.002 in. - 0.005 in. (0.05mm - 0.13mm)
  • Conforms to the EU Reach & RoHS directive
