ER90S-B3 low alloy steel GTAW (TIG) for welding 2 1/4 in. chromium-molybdenum steels used in high pressure piping and pressure vessels. Also, used for joining dissimilar combinations of chromium-molybdenum and carbon steels. Conforms to AWS 5.28, ER90S-B3.
Features
- Low alloy GTAW (TIG) welding alloy
- Welds alloys such as 2-1/4% chromium-1% molybdenum steels
- Typically used to weld high temperature and high pressure piping and vessels
- Joining dissimilar combinations of chromium-molybdenum and carbon steels
- Control preheat, inter-pass and post heat to avoid cracking
- Use with pre-heat and inter-pass temperature of 375 degrees F min. (191 degrees C)
- Ink jet printed identification on entire length of rod
- Conforms to AISI/AWS A5.28 & ASME SFA 5.28 ER90S-B3
