DETAILS
97/3 tin-copper solder has a faster melting range allowing operators to rapidly fill small, tight-fitting, pipe connections. Its low temperature and free-flowing properties reduce cycle time and required heat input. These solders contain an inner core of flux meaning a separate flux application is unnecessary.
Features
- Environmentally safe with no lead or antimony
- Melting temperature of 445°F (229°C)
- It has a low melting point and narrow melting range to reduce heating time
- Melts, flows and performs better than 95/5 solder
- The inner core of flux in these solders can result in cost savings due to no additional flux required.
Typical Applications
- General soldering on copper, brass and steel alloys with acid core
- Soldering electronic connections and copper wire electrical components with rosin core
