DETAILS

Stay Brite® lead-free paste solder is a formulated mixture of Stay Brite® solder, metal powder, neutral binder and flux. It provides a convenient one-step method of solder application. When heated, the binder burns away and the flux becomes active. When the soldering temperature is reached, the metal solder powder melts and completes the solder connection. Stay Brite paste can be used in manual applications applied with a brush. It is also an excellent choice for semi-automated applications using appropriate dispensing equipment. It can be used to solder copper, brass and steel. It is generally unsuitable for electrical or electronic applications as the flux residue should be removed after soldering. The organic flux has an intermediate activity and an activation range between 300 degrees F - 525 degrees F (149 degrees C - 274 degrees C). Remove the flux residue after soldering using hot detergent water. This solder paste has an effective shelf life of at least six months when stored in sealed containers at approximately 70ºF.
