DETAILS
97/3 tin-copper solder has a faster melting range allowing operators to rapidly fill small, tight-fitting, pipe connections. Its low temperature and free-flowing properties reduce cycle time and required heat input.
Features
- Environmentally safe with no lead or antimony
- Solidus of 450°F (232°C)
- Liquidus of 550°F (290°C)
- It has a low melting point and narrow melting range to reduce heating time
- Melts, flows and performs better than 95/5 solder
- Harris® recommends using Harris® Water Soluble Plumbing Flux (ASTM B813) for copper and brass plumbing applications and Harris® Stay Clean® Liquid Flux for soldering steel.
Typical Applications
- Plumbing
- Copper pipe joining and repairs
