DETAILS
SAFETY-SILV® 40 is a ductile, free-flowing alloy that offers economy, good penetration into tight connections and medium temperature. Silver to light yellow color like polished brass.
Features
- Cadmium-free, silver brazing alloy
- Good ductility
- Often used for corrosion applications or high temperature service, so suitability for the brazing alloy should be evaluated for the intended condition
- Good replacement for hazardous cadmium bearing filler metals
- Moderate temperature alloy with a medium plastic range, making it suitable for brazing assemblies with wider gaps
- Corrosion resistance is generally similar to copper base metal, but because of its zinc content it should Not be used if the braze is exposed to concentrated corrosive liquid for long periods of time
- Conforms to the EU Reach & RoHS directive
