Phos Bronze C GMAW (MIG) copper-tin welding alloy is used to weld copper-tin composition base metals. Also used to weld copper alloys, including brass-to-steel. Conforms to ANSI/AWS A5.7 & AMSE SFA A5.7 ERCuSn-C CDA 521.
Features
- Designed for welding base metals of steel, cast iron, copper, brass and bronze
- Oten used on overlays on cast iron or steel or to join dissimilar metals
- Yields high strength (66,000 psi tensile and 35,000 psi yield) deposits on phos-bronze materials
- The 7%-9% tin content creates greater hardness
- Preheat is generally not required unless welding high copper content base metals
- Typical applications include maintenance/repair and fabrication of bearings, bushings, couplings, gears, housings, propellers, pumps, shafts and valve bodies and seats
- Use with 100% Argon or 25%/75% Argon/Helium shielding gas mixture
- Conforms to ANSI/AWS A5.7 & AMSE SFA A5.7 ERCuSn-C CDA 521.
