DETAILS

ALUXCOR® 98/2 zinc-aluminum brazing filler metal has a non-corrosive and non-hygroscopic cesium flux core with a lower melting temperature and wider melting range than aluminum-silicon alloys. Its excellent strength and corrosion resistance makes it ideal for joining aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-copper or brass. It is free flowing with unequaled capillary attraction, ductility and penetration. Conforms to the EU RoHS directive.

Features

  • ZN98 zinc-aluminum flux-cored brazing alloy
  • Core design releases the flux only after sufficient preheating so both the flux and alloy flows at the right time into the capillary
  • Lower melting temperature and wider melting range than aluminum silicon alloys
  • Strict flux percentage tolerance ensures tha the flux is consistent throughout the wire for repeatable high performance flow of the alloy
  • Has a non-corrosive and non-hygroscopic cesium flux with no flux binder
  • A good choce for joining aluminum alloys of the 1000, 3000 and 6000 series.
  • Also used to join aluminum-to-copper
  • Recommended joint clearance of 0.003" – 0.005"
  • Proprietary custom flux blends available for customer specific applications
